Why You Should Not Buy The Sondors Electric Bike

Are you kidding me? You should absolutely buy this bike (if you have the money). No other ebike has been able to come close to this price point and deliver a product that looks as good as the Sondors Electronic Bike (formally called the Storm Electronic Bike). The Indiegogo campaign has generated quite the buzz, raising about 3.4 million dollars – that’s with an original $75,000 goal – I think they’re good!

The bike has caught the attention of the likes of  Yahoo, Business Insider and TechCrunch. The low price point seems to be appealing to those new to the ebike community, including myself. I’ve had my eye on these for a while, but I haven’t been able to convince myself to pay out the $1,500 + that most of these bike start at. This is my chance to get in for a decent price and I couldn’t be happier.

Side note: I wasn’t even sure I wanted to spend $599 on a bike originally. So I ended up flipping a coin….I called heads… and heads it was. Take my money!

If you haven’t yet, check out the video below from yesterday’s Demo Day in Santa Monica, CA posted by ElectricBikeReview.com. This is the closest look we have had so far. The bike shown is a production bike according to Storm. There are a few interesting points in the video. Storm points out that the battery will ship separately. Also, the campaign page still shows 4 color combos, but Storm says there will initially be 2 color options: a black bike and a yellow bike , with different possible trim colors. It’s only 20+ minutes so check out the video if you’re even remotely interested:

Honestly, the main reason you SHOULD go ahead and buy the bike is that the price will continue to go up from here. $1,299 is the listed as the retail price and right now if you go here you can get the bike for $599 – this was actually extended until the 20th instead of the original date of the 14th. The next price increase will be $699. Obviously, do your own research and come to your own conclusion, but I think this bike is definitely a game changer and I’m glad to be a part of it.

I’ll be posting a video of the unboxing and I’ll do a video review once mine arrives so be sure and subscribe to the site. Let me know if you end up getting one!

Do not believe in anything this biased article has to say. At most if the Sondors campaign delivers is a weak bike, no warranty, no after sales service, no product liability insurance, weak range, lies by the sondors team, pathetic service by SPEC PR and fictional comments made by Greg Dawson. This whole campaign lead by the inept SPEC PR team has utterly failed. Greg Dawson approves refunds then sits their playing mind games with supporters of this shambling inept campaign SHAME ON YOU SPEC PR. Worst PR crowd funding outfit ever Avoid Greg Dawson and SPEC PR, SHAMEFUL behavior.
